Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Introduction
WorshipSync (“we”) collects and uses information to provide and improve the app. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it, consistent with the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and App Store Review Guidelines (including guideline 5.1).
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: email, display name, and authentication data (e.g. Sign in with Apple or Google).
- Church and team data: church name, join codes, member lists, roles, serving schedules, setlists, song library content, and chat messages that you and your organization create.
- Policy acceptance: timestamps when you accepted our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Chat Policy.
- Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status associated with your church to provide access—we do not store your full payment details (Apple handles payment).
- Support: if you contact us (in-app or via our website form), we store what you send so we can respond.
- Device and usage: we may collect basic usage data to improve the app and fix issues.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to provide the app (schedules, setlists, chat, song library, team management), to authenticate you, to store your preferences, and to improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Storage and Security
Data is stored using Firebase (Google) and related services. We use industry-standard security practices. No system is completely secure; use the app at your own risk.
5. Sharing
Data you add within a church is visible to other members of that church. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing. Third-party processors (such as Firebase and Apple for payments) are required to protect data appropriately. We may share data if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. Retention
We retain your data while your account and churches are active. You may request deletion; we will delete or anonymize as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. You can delete your account and associated data in the app: Profile → Delete account. For other requests, use support or the contact options in the App Store listing.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. The current version is available here and in the app under Profile → Policies.
10. Contact
Privacy questions or data requests: use Contact support in the app or submit a ticket on our support page. You can also use the contact information in the App Store listing.
